What I do when I can't sleep
Read a similar post in someone else's blog (thanks!) but didn't know if she wants to be linked, so..
Heard something a little disturbing last night, but surprisingly it didn't affect me as much as I thought it would.. maybe I've finally been able to start to let go cos it's slipping out of my fingers.. I probably only lay awake for 2+ hours instead of the usual 4 (out of the average 6.5 to 7 hours of sleep I get on a weekday night).. now, I just need to move on..
But anyways, what I do when I can't sleep, in order of likelihood:

But anyways, what I do when I can't sleep, in order of likelihood:
- Toss and turn like crazy
- Usually, I can't sleep cos I'm troubled abt women or money, and I start thinking more and more and more, and get more and more depressed, and end up sleeping only 2 hours the entire night..
- Blog
- Swig whiskey, tho it hardly works... I remain fully awake from the moment I feel the burn down my throat, thru the nice warm feeling, and even after the warmth is all gone..
- Get up to pee 4 times throughout the night

But seriously, i try to watch some TV till the eyes start getting droopy. Or go online to chat with friends living abroad.
Wank! I swear my guy friends tell me after wank is the best time for sleep. So maybe in your case have to wank a lot.
HAHAHAH i am so funny. in a spot for some self-love today. I hate work! Grrrr.
I'll just think until I fall asleep.
yeah I watch senseless tv or movie.
it really sucks not to be able to sleep. and thank goodness for the internet. that one helps past time alot on an insomiac night
ehhhh ... count sheeps? hahaha .. sometimes i do get the same problem too. i will burn lavender essential oil, stare at the ceiling, put on some soothing music & forced myself to sleep
a nice hot bath to soothe your soul, followed by essential oils and nice music to calm your mind.... works like a charm for me, unless under exceptional duress.
Do either 1 of the 2 extremes:
1. Work out like siow, shower, then sleep.
2. Eat a very heavy supper: laksa + roti prata (preferably Murtabak ... yum) + dessert, brush teeth, then sleep

I suppose you have matured and evolved such that what had seem to be disturbing had lesser effect on you last night? If it helps to give you some encouragement, here's some.

Read a text book... guaranteed that your eyes will start to feel heavy in a matter of minutes.
